Fall Leaves

The leaves were racing me home today

Red, yellow, golden brown,

Swirling and twirling with joy

as if to distract me or get in my way.

Yet I rode steadily on

admiring their beauty, but not discomposed.

The leaves were racing me home today .. .

I won!

Finished curb, gutter and sidewalk.
A little bling for my reading glasses.

St. George temple remodel.
Baby bathtubs!! Sample size. I need one of those. It's just cute.
The beginnings of beehive decor for kitchen.
A new deck! Joists are on place. Decking and stairs and railing is next.

Retirement

 1 year, 1 month and 20 days.

Not too bad.

IS it bad to be counting?

Maybe. Maybe not.

I did fill in some boxes today on reports that need doing. That's good. I'm making progress.

This new ILS is difficult for me, but I'm still trying.

The end.

House

There is still much to do, BUT

We have some flooring in our Dining area!!!

Below:

We have finished texture in the bedroom on ALL of the walls and the ceiling.

The same in the bathroom:finished texture and primer and paint on all walls and ceiling.
I thought we were going to see the end in sight; however, it has been decided that we may as well get carpet for the rest of the upstairs (and get a bulk price rather than one room price). And when you do that, you may as well paint, too. And since the back half of the house is a different texture on the walls, Mike wants to re-do that, too.   So we will never be done. Ha. Kitchen and Master Bedroom first, though.
I mean, we have to have somewhere to put all the stuff in the two upstairs bedrooms and living room.yikes.

Fall a baptism and a parade

I think it may be time to retire our front yard dining room. Its Fall. Nights and evenings are cool.
It's nice to see our front trees in their glory. This tree has had struggles through the years . Borer  bugs, other pests, a lot of die back. There is still much dead wood to clean out, but it is much improved.

This is the favorite part of my daily commute. Picture the 60+year old lady, on her bike, crunching through the leaves. 'Tis a delight.
Saturday the 23rd of October we attended Helen Boswell 's baptism. Lovely day.

Then we stopped to see the Sheep parade on our way home. I think we were a bit overdressed for parade viewing.
