I just wanted to post a couple of photos Eric and I took this evening. That's quite a fire! It's south of us, I think in the Pine Valley Mountains. Mike and I were at a wedding reception this evening and ash was falling out of the sky onto the dark table cloths! And Eric reported that a friend told him that New Harmony was being evacuated. It's pretty smokey around here. Does make for a pretty sunset, though. You can click on the images to make them bigger.

The view from the freeway looking toward sunset. Lots of smoke, structures lost in New Harmony. And it's still going strong. It's very ashy in town, too.

We've even had smokey skies! There aren't even any fires up in these parts! Sheesh... can't you guys keep all that ashy stuff down there? Please :-)
