Spring Break, Continued

And it continues to snow! Nick and his family joined us on Wednesday, along with Great Grandma Autrey. We enjoyed some hot dogs together for lunch. The kids had already eaten before we got back from the temple, so it was mostly adults who ate. They had done some hiking and had fun times with cousins in St George.  They did some coloring and playing games with me and grandpa.

And we have lots of snow! It snowed all day long. We got a few inches of nice wet snow here in Cedar, but it started out being the hard, yet fluffy, "corn" snow. It's like little teeny styrofoam balls, kind of. Off and on there may have been a little hail, rain and sleet  mixed in. It was a very wet day. And that is just what we have been praying for!

Crocs in the snow! ( The holey, plastic shoes--NOT crocodiles!)

Pellet snow corns

I didn't do a very good job of meal planning, so it was mostly sandwiches , fruit and snacking type foods. Hot dogs, BLT 's. Cookies.

One of Nick's face imprints was so good you could see the creases in his forehead! But falling snow filled it in quickly. I would be hard-pressed ( pun intended) if I could even accomplish the push-required to DO a face print in snow!! He did more than one and his face was very cold. Brrrrr

After tired kids ( and Grandpa) were in bed, Nick and Kaylee and I enjoyed a quiet,  shorter version of Quiddler, yawning all the way through. I guess WE were tired, too.

Thursday morning, they headed out after Grandpa made waffles for breakfast. They delivered the coloring contest pages from our little local paper all around town-- in the snow! They got goodies and treats from some, which was fun for them. And they have the chance of collecting and winning other prizes from those businesses. Then they headed on home to Herriman.

Emily requested a picture with Grandma. I was flattered😊.

Mike and I went to Boyd and Carole Fife's. They leave Monday for their mission in Adam Ondi Ahman.  Mike had a tiny bit of grout to finish and *I* got a lovely tour of their new home, now furnished. They have a lovely "gathering place" at long last.

On the way home, Mike and I had bar-b-que @ Fire and Smoke in Kanarraville. It was really good! They have a nice business there and the decor is Barnwood and Texas-themed.

And, now we get to plan for attending the 10 am General Conference session on Saturday morning! I'm excited! It will be my first time to attend general conference in the Conference Center.
