That's San Antonio and College Station.
We had all morning to rest up at Damian and Tandy's. Mike and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I actually woke up just before 7 am, very rested, and suggested to Mike that we get up and go for a walk. You know, stretch a bit after two long days of driving. But he declined since he'd missed two days of naps and needed to catch up on his sleep! So I went for a walk without him. 38 minutes, 1 1/2 mile in the neighborhood. THEN I got in the pool. It was quite a bit cooler than when we were there in March with Hayden. So Mike wouldn't do it. He ONLY used the hot tub. And we lounged, Tandy swam a bit and did some yard and deck clean up after walking their dog, Lily. It was just nice to relax. I guess Pam relaxed inside.
I showered and cleaned up, as did Mike. Ahhh, that felt nice. Damian and Tandy fixed our "Mother's Day Meal" for a late lunch that day, and it was so delicious. Filet mignon steaks..so very tender and delicious. Plus twice-baked potatoes, and asparagus...rolls, too. And all so very yummy. After, it was time for some of us to head to College Station in the afternoon. Ella had to finish school, so she and Tandy were coming later, but Damian came in a separate vehicle.
Our hotel was kind of a step up from the last one, but you'd never know it by looking at the outdoor pool. Gross! Lexi came by when we got there and we three grands got "Aggie Attire" from Lexi as a "Thank you for coming all this way, and Happy Mother's/ Father's Day". So sweet.
Since we had such a huge late lunch, we didn't need to eat again. It's about a three hour drive to College Station from San Antonio. We were tired and just vegged in our rooms that night. Comfortably.
These photos were from Damian and Tandy's house, and this is Tandy making potatoes. With gloves on. And still gagging. She sure does hate the texture of potatoes! But she loves us THIIIIIS much!
And then the pool pictures. I couldn't believe how Mike would NOT get in above this waist. 30 seconds...then he got into the hot tub. I swam about 20 minutes and enjoyed it quite a bit. Yes, it was a chilly 75 degrees F, but if you keep moving, it's okay!
And THIS was the solid green pool in C.S. Ick!
