Spending time with brothers

Cute sheep with black heads and necks.

The Autrey Glow.

On a walk with a dog and my brothers.

Down the road near the corner of Dave's property. He made this little seat out of a piece of an oak tree. He leveled the legs, flattened the seat.  Now you can sit down if you need a rest while walking up the hill.  We did hike all through his property. We trudged through poison ivy, found fossils, observed wild pig footings. Saw a few deer tracks.

The lighting isn't great, but the field is full of Indian paintbrush flowers.

Jake, the dog. Catahoula breed.

Big bro, little bro.

For Donna. Dead soldiers.

No, we don't always wear masks. Nor do we social distance.

Laura passed away last week on the 21st. She had cancer and fought it for almost 4 years. David was such a wonderful, caring, loving caregiver for the whole time. She loved him so much, too.! I have loved reading through all her scrapbooks. Well, a few of them, anyway. She made so many! A good record of her life, loves and travels. She had a generous and giving heart. Truly a thoughtful giver of gifts. And so fun.
A couple of her sisters made it to Texas to say goodbye, which was nice.
Robert and I braved traveling  in the time of pandemic and flew out to Texas.

We have done a little organizing and cleaning. We'll spend a week with David. Hardly seems adequate when we will be leaving him all alone with his dog. We hope he will reach out when he needs to talk.
