Rachel's and Logan's birthday party, September 12, 2020

All the photos loaded in absolute backwards order. I even tried it twice. Oh. well.

Here is Jane. See Jane swing.  Jane is tired. It has been a long day. Poor Jane. (Not really. She's tired, but she had a great time celebrating with her siblings at the park.)

And sometimes teenagers enjoy swinging, too.  Even though Caroline didn't put down her phone to enjoy the "full" experience. ha.
We got to go see Nick and Kaylee's new home!  It is being built in Herriman, Utah, and that's where there birthday party was held, just a few blocks away.  We haven't seen anything but photos up till now.  And we saw the lot before anything was done on it, so it was fun to see how things are coming along. They are about 4 to 6 weeks out from being able to move in.

Above is a walkway next to their lot that goes to a sidewalk between back door neighbors and the sidewalk leads to the Elementary school that is on the next street to their west.  Very close. We played on the equipment/playgrounds over at the school the last time we were here.
The lot itself is quite large, but an odd shape since it's on a corner/not-quite-cul-de-sac. Hard to explain. The back yard outside the back door of the house is not very deep. It's already fenced because that's where the sidewalk is. But the side yard is deep and odd-shaped. Nick said he'd put a garden in the back corner.
Here's the family, checking out the new kitchen/family room area. Tall ceilings, big window. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths downstairs, a bonus room above the garage and a large, un-finished basement.

We enjoyed some cake and Ice Cream with Jane.
I've never seen a four-year old snarf down a piece of chocolate cake as fast as Logan ate his!  Wow! And Rachel enjoyed hers, as well. She was a bit more lady-like while eating it. ha.ha.

Jane, Logan, Rachel.
Rachel blowing out the candles. Logan blew his out on the first note of "Happy Birthday to you."

There was quite a stiff breeze while Nick was attempting to light the candles. There were SIX for Rachel. She turned six the end of August. There were four candles for Logan. His birthday is September 29. It was nice to have a combined party at a park to celebrate the two of them.

These are mini corn hole boards for the kids! Their aunt and uncle made them.

Jane was helping by picking up the tissue paper that was blowing around in the breeze.
Rip and tear, Rip and Tear. haha.

It's important to read the cards, too. And they do. (or Kaylee read the cards to them).
Look at these cute crocheted winter dinosaur hats that their aunt Robin made for them! Robin is famous for the cool hats she crochets for family members.
And then it was play time. Well, Play time came first on the playground as the family was gathering. The played hard. We gathered and ate pizza. They played some more. They opened presents. We had cake. A fun time was had by all. Mike and I and Caroline drove up from Cedar City that morning. We shopped briefly at WINCO to pick up breakfast cereal and a couple of snack items and we visited a bit at Mike and Joyce's house (where EVERYONE is living right now. Both Kaylee's family AND Kelly's family!), then headed to the park. A home tour.  It was a fun afternoon/evening with family. No masks. Here's hoping we all stay well. ;-)

That's Logan at the top of the very tall pathway. He'd just climbed up the very tall climbing wall (below)

Rachel climbing UP the slide. It was a tricky one.
Static electricity in the hair!  I hated touching her when she go to the bottom because I'd always ZAP her with my fingers.

Jane and grandpa were blowing spit bubbles. How cute.

Rachel and Logan.
Logan is blowing dandelion fluff and spreading the seeds. Make a wish!
There's the little pavillion in the distance where we partied with pizza and presents. The playground was just to the right.

Caroline and Jane (below). Jane is about 16 months. Caroline is almost 19.  Years.  Next month!
