These lovely little prints have been in my possession for about 44 years and counting. I bought them with 50 cents and four proof-of-purchase seals from Coronet Paper towels. I really liked them! They are just cheap prints of the four seasons in water color. I guess I have been loving water colors for a very long time! I didn't have a place to put them at the time, so they stayed in their folder and moved a few times. When we lived in Hawaii, I had a house, but didn't have frames. Diana Hansen-Young, local Hawaiian Artist, brought her mat-cutting machine to Relief Society one night so we could learn to mat artwork. I matted all four of these in complementary colors for each season. That created a unique situation in that NOW they were all a very CUSTOM size that I could no way afford to buy frames for!
Yikes. So they hung out behind my bedroom door in Cedar City, on the floor, for many more years. Just sitting there, collecting dust. In their lovely, color-coordinated mat boards. . . House remodeling time! I tossed the mats and figured I would just put them in cheap poster frames in my basement guestroom. They looked okay. At least they were visible now. However, then we had to move out of our bedroom and it got remodeled and I decided that I really wanted those four seasons prints in our new bedroom. I found some sheet music from my Grandma Sorensen to put in the poster frames in my Sorensen Family Guest Room on the wall in the basement. And *I* decided that I would spend the money to have my lovely, fifty-cent, four seasons water color prints custom framed with matching mat board. And they are done! I paid a lot of money in the end, but worth every penny. I still love them. After all these years.
