Sept 30, 2025.Tuesday. Corfu!

Waaay down on the water was where Louisa Durrell lived with her four children between 1934 and 1937 ( or so) Her son , Gerald, grew up to write,"My Family and Other Animals," A memoir of their life on the island. It's delightful, as is the PBS series, "The Durrell's of Corfu."

We took a small group tour in a 16 passenger tour van all around the island, enjoying the scenic views and lunch.

Lovely day, except I felt kind of icky. Sickly. Tired. Sleepy. HOT. the seat next to me was producing a lot of heat. I felt fried by the time we returned.

I took cold medicine all day and plan to just keep resting, drinking, sleeping. See if I can kick it quickly.

Lovely island. Beautiful bays. Wish we could have gone swimming.

Gorgeous busy and beaches.
The building up high was where we went next as an overlook.  I've never seen cypress trees growing in the wild like this. Lots of olives, too.

A panoramic screen.

Cypress trees are the tall skinny dark evergreens. Olive trees are light silvery green.
Albania in the distance. 1.2 miles away from Greece's Corfu island. Above.
Below is just a nice scenic overlook.
