Mike caught a cold. Jane got the flu. Travel was cancelled.
But we celebrate Christmas, anyway! Our Sunday before Christmas program was really nice. Nancy Beckstrom always does such wonderful music programs.
Eric and Matt, my Mom and Caroline came for dinner on Christmas day. We had ham with lots of lovely sides.
Robert and Janet were here the weekend before Christmas and we enjoyed some nice meals out with them and Mom and some games. Plus a lovely Sunday dinner together.
I missed attending "The Messiah" concert this year. We played games with the Larson's that night instead.
We have had tons of yummy goodies and treats dropped off by our friends and neighbors. Such generous folks! Cookies and candy, nuts and breads. . .it is quite the array and we have pretty much gobbled all of it up as fast as it came in. Also, soaps, lotion, serum, a lite cheese/cutting board, popcorn, cute decor. Gail & Seth sent us See's candy. Did we share? Nope. It's almost all gone already. Fragrant wax cubes, fresh-baked rolls and an embroidered cotton bread storage bag from Spain ( from Cindy W and her Fall Camino trek) .
We enjoyed a LOT of Lifetime - Type Christmas movies. Well, *I* did! Mike chooses to watch sports. We listened to lots of Christmas music on our Alexa Device through the holidays, too. Seems like we shopped a lot for groceries, too.
We did speak with representatives from each of our kid's families on Christmas Day. It was nice to chat a while.
On Christmas Eve, I read the entire December Liahona magazine, cover to cover.
A nice, simple, low-key, stay at home holiday.
Now if we could just get Mike over this nasty cold! The poor guy has been miserable most of the week.
I made German Pancakes for breakfast this morning. We have not had those for ages!
