Veyo Pool Day, July 2018

Clouds, NOT smoke (for a change).
On Thursday the 5th (Maybe), we went to the Veyo Pool.  I've been wanting to go there for a long time. They have something called "Crawdad Canyon,"  too. So we went. Just me, Gail and her kids, Damian's whole family.

We had lunch there, after swimming a bit and trying to catch crawdads in the adjoining stream.

Veyo Pool is a warm spring-fed pool. No lifeguard. Nothing special. Extra cold to the Texan's whose backyard pool is 90 degrees.  And it WAS 105 degrees F, so it's good that the pool was cool.  But the concrete!  It burned your feet.

Here's a group, diligently hunting.

Braeden and Ella each caught at least one.  But guess who was afraid to pick them up?  Everyone but Grandma. ;-)

Here's Damian. He slipped on the wet concrete and fell... ouch. Hit his elbow and hip and then everything hurt, poor guy. He really has to be careful about that neck of his, so that was not a good move.

Below:  Here's most of our group in the pool

Looking at the pool area from where we had a table with an umbrella to hold all our stuff. We had a LOT of stuff. ha. Just 9 body's worth.  We stayed from about 1...till 4:30 or 5?  ...Long enough for some people to get sunburned.  That was a long walk across hot concrete!
