Hunter's 50th

Oh, these friends. Kim and Terri Hunter. How we love them, and have for OVER 50 years. Mike and Kim were friends in High School. Mike introduced Kim and Terri. And they lived happily ever after!

Their kids organized an anniversary celebration that we attended tonight.

They used some leftover invites, the original napkins from their reception AND even served what was served. . .mostly.  The cake was a different flavor, but they had nut cups and frappe punch ( rainbow sherbet with 7-Up. 😄

Friends and neighbors from all their places of residence came, and of course all their kiddos. Their kids were friends with our kids and mostly matched in ages.

Kim and Terri. 50 years and Eternity to go.
Friends like these are keepers.

But,
How is it that when I looked at newspaper announcements about peoples' 50th wedding anniversaries in days gone by. . . Like when we used to have newspapers and people read them. . . they looked to be about 90 years old back then! I guess I'm just getting old. My folks celebrated theirs here and they didn't seem or look way old, and THESE two sure don't!!
