Lagoon, July 14, 2025

It's been a few years, but we finally made it back to Lagoon amusement park this year with the Little Liebhardt's. Plus a not-so-little one, as 22-year old Lexi went with us, too! Five adults with four kids, so we could do more than divide and conquer-- we could have a stroller and bag- watcher, too!

We had lots of bathroom and water breaks, no serious meltdowns and we were gone from about 9:30 a.m. til nearly 10 p.m.

It was HOT. There were roller coasters, train rides, spinning rides, more coasters, more spinning rides, boat rides, car rides, airplane rides, a picnic that I darn near RUINED because I forgot to pack the bread AND the lettuce! We improvised and got filled with drinks, yogurt, chips, grapes, watermelon, mangos and raspberries, plus some meats and cheese. Not too bad.

It was a fun , long, tiring day.

Trying to tame hair.

Car rides.

Boat rides.

Map reading/ planning.

Train ride.

Waiting for the "lunch".

The Rattlesnake Rapids managed to thoroughly soak all nine of us. Not a dry spot anywhere. So we went again! Emily's quote was, "I'm really freakin' soaked!"

Rachel drying off with some "Grandma Candy." (I brought dried apples)

One of the three "Buc-ees". The kids could earn quarters for each time someone commented on their shirts. I was with Logan on the Sky Ride when he got THREE comments!

Drying out socks and soggy toes.poor Rachel had prune feet by the end of the day.

A VERY wet butt print on the concrete planter.

Jane and Logan riding the helicopter ride. . .about ten times for Logan. Five more for Jane going with him, making Logan's total 15 turns in a row. No lines has its benefits.

Most of us loved this one
Emily did. But Logan said, "I don't know HOW Emily could stand that! " It wasn't fun for him! Haha. That was the last ride that Mike went on, too. His stomach almost lost it on that one.

Mike relaxing and resting and waiting in the shade.

Hat hair!

The blue ICEE tongue on Emily.

Mike and I also spent time laying on the grass, relaxing and cooling off. It was so stinkin' hot. But once the sun went behind clouds, buildings and mountains around 7 or 8 pm, it was much nicer.

These kids were flyin' high!

A "selfie" with Logan on the SkyRide. He said he didn't like High Rides, but this one was okay because it was slow.

The "After" photo.
And the lovely sunset on the way back to Herriman.
