Thursday July 6, 2023

The living area was so bright and sunny in the morning, but only the Early Bird Liebhardt family (Nick's) got to see it. We had yummy muffins and fruit and juice and milk for breakfast. Some later than others.

Mike is still working on his phone, recording and editing the parts of his history.

And you know allergies are bad when Lexi is out distributing Loratadine allergy pills to anyone who needed them. Drugs, anyone? Poor Nick in the background is a bit worried that she's taking over his job. 😉

Next up-- Pool Party!!
But you can't do a pool party without a lot of sunscreen.

Emily got her sandals on, and off we went!

The pools are situated on a hillside, so are on two levels. Two pools, two hot tubs, two slides, and we gathered under two cabanas. Fun times. No major sunburns.

Then it was lunch. We had sandwiches and some leftovers from last night's dinner. So much food!

A lot of us were tired, so we had some down time, quiet time.

Damian, passed out on his bed.

Dinner was done by Damian and family. Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and salad.
Seth arrived by dinner time, actually shortly after lunch. He left Nevada after work on Wednesday, drove to Cedar City and spent the night at our house, took out the trash for us! Yay, as it was overflowing. Then drove over to Zion Ponderosa.

We had an afternoon and evening of fun outside and in, playing a family history game by Nick, using a game app called Kahoots. So fun! Kaylee ruled and got the most points, I came in third. I think Katie was second...?

Pickleball was popular, along with lots of punny comments about the game and why it's called what it's called. Cornhole tournaments were played. Kids built forts with blankets upstairs, ran, screamed, played games inside and out. Adults visited. We made a poster for Ella. Go Team!

After dinner, Mike shared family stories, Nick did a stargazing activity with a really cool laser light he has outside when it was late and dark. The weather could not have been more perfect. And we could see so many stars and satellites. Cool.

Oh, what joy! Truly joyful time.

Gathered to play Kahoots, answering questions on our phones about family history that Nick created for us.

Room for ten at the dining table, four at the island, and many more outside. In the afternoons, it's perfect out there in the shade of the house.
Hailey did a LOT of coloring. Beautiful coloring. So much coloring that sometimes she was about to miss meals! She's the only one left in the living room. The rest of us are eating dinner.

Damian was champion-- fixed dinner for 22 people. Every one is here except Matt, Tandy and Ella.

Panoramic view of the living room when we gathered to hear Grandpa's stories, and ended with family prayer and to bed. For a few.

Tomorrow-- miniature Golf!
