Lunch at the grassy, trees -y coast. But not windy!
This is Kaylee walking out toward the shore from our picnic area. We could not see the ocean from our picnic area.
Mike got a long head start from our picnic table, and was determined to make it to the shore, in spite of it being much MUCH further than he thought. Further than any of us thought. Mike was resolved, even if it meant he would not be able to walk the rest of the week.
Looking south.
Looking North.
It was a rocky, pebbly beach. We saw a sea lion in the waves!
A boy on his beach.
Logan playing " Race the waves".
After shell and rock collecting, and plenty of "Race the waves" ( and a trip or two back to the parking area and bathrooms), we stopped walking back to get cleaned up, and kids played with a hut they found on the beach. They determined it needed improvements, so they set about making them. One of Rachel 's favorite thing is huts and forts.
