But first, a view of a bulbous- nosed, one- eyed tomato.
And Mom and I had our picture taken at Our House in front of their Halloween Photo scene.
Mike and I left on Friday the 20th and headed to Salt Lake City to see our friends, Roy and Mickey Bauer. Their mission is up next week, they'll be moving to Pennsylvania, so we visited a few minutes before having lunch and heading to Gail's.
Roy and Mickey Bauer, Salt Lake City Church Headquarters Mission. Missionary Development Coordinators.
Our drive through western Utah and NE Nevada was uneventful, just like we like it.
Gail had dinner for us-- green pork tacos. We enjoyed watching the birds and deer at her house. It's small, and pretty full but we slept fairly comfortably in the newly-established guest room. Gail has spent days moving all her paper crafting supplies to her new shed. It looks really nice
That girl has SSSSOOOOooooo much craft paper!!
Oh, I also got to try VR headsets. First time. Jonny let me do a game using saber's. I didn't win, but it was a fun experience.
Saturday morning we had breakfast and went to see Seth's work, then went to the Museum of North East Nevada. It was really nice! We enjoyed looking around. There were nice art exhibits, too, and beautiful art/gifts for sale and tons of local history that was fascinating, too!. Mike didn't enjoy walking around very much, but was a good sport.
Here are some museum photos:
Belly up to the bar, boys!
Photobomb! Because sometimes you need to take your picture with an elephant, Gail said.
These are NOT in the museum or stuffed. They are in Gail's backyard.
Here's an Audubon Society photo of Gambles Quail. So cute .
They all go to pile up in the cedar trees out front in the evening.
