We made it as far as LaGrand, Oregon on our first day on the road.
Ate breakfast on Friday in Pendleton.
Now, on to the Ferry.
The zig - zag line is the US/Canada border, not our route. But we DID wiggle-waggle between islands. Beautiful homes. Many other ferries, some recreational boats, a barge. No wildlife to speak of.
It took an hour and a half. There was comfy seating, or we could meander around. The cafeteria was packed.
Drove on, drove off. Found our next hotel, the Cherry Hill Inn. Quaint. ON a hill! WITH cherry trees.
We are now on Vancouver Island.
It's Saturday, June 8. And we have been traveling since Thursday morning and it seems like we are taking forEVER to reach out destination!
I mean, the scenery is grand, the company great, but I'm ready to start our fishing trip.
Today we plan to see Butchart Gardens.
